Fobbles, samplers, charts, embroidery, patchwork, needlework accessories and more

Fobbles is a needlecraft workshop based in a beautiful converted barn on a working farm. We are situated on the fringes of the Western Lake District, between the coast and the magnificent Lakeland fells, amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in the Country. Our purpose-built workshop and shop have all-modern facilities making us fully disabled-friendly. We have ample free parking.

We specialise in patchwork and embroidery courses and supplies. We stock a wide range of quality cotton Fabric shelves 1.webpatchwork fabrics from Moda, Stof & Lecien, including the ever popular Moda jelly rolls and layer cakes, a huge range of notions, cutting equipment, books, magazines, patterns and threads, as well as a fabulous variety of embroidery supplies.

We hold regular classes, get-togethers and events in our workshop, which has been created with your comfort in mind, having daylight lighting, ample sockets and, of course, comfortable seating.

Our workshop is available for private hire for your craft group wether it be for patchwork, quilting, embroidery, knitting or even scrap booking. We are happy to work with you to create a never to be forgotten special event for you and your group. These tailor made events require a minimum of five attendees. Please enquire for availability and prices.

We welcome groups by appointment to view our facilities and are able to give short talks along with a display of work should you wish.  Tea and cakes can also be provided for your group visit.  These visits have been much enjoyed by a variety of craft groups, WI and Embroiderers' Guilds.

There is plenty nearby to occupy your family if you are joining us for a workshop, we are near to the coastal village of  Ravenglass, home of the Ratty Railway and Muncaster Castle, we are also just a few miles from Wasdale, being the holder of Britain's Favourite View award, and well worth a visit. We are happy to provide local B&B information if you wish to stay nearby whilst visiting us.

Our shop is generally open when we have workshops and events on, and at other times by appointment or chance! We strongly recommend that you ring beforehand and let us know that you wish to visit, we would hate you to be disappointed if we were away at a talk, a show, etc.  You can find all our contact details on the "contact us" page.

Please take time to browse our website where we hope you will be inspired.

If you do not see what you are looking for, let us know, we may have it or we may be able to get it for you.
