Welcome to our summer newsletter. We have lots of things to tell you……
 
Firstly, news of our annual Exhibition of Embroidery, Patchwork and Beading. As always, the proceeds of our exhibition will be donated to a
local good cause, this year we have chosen Hospice At Home. We hope you will agree that we have chosen well and that you will be able to join us in raising funds for this well deserving charity. The exhibition will be held on Friday & Saturday 24 & 25 July 2009
between 10 am and 4.30 pm here at Fobbles.
Entrance is £2.00 and we will also have a sales table of crafty goods all to benefit Hospice at Home.
 
Have you every wanted to try stumpwork? Then why not join us on the 1 & 2 August 2009 for our Stumpwork & Needlelace weekend with Doreen Holmes, the theme this year is Roosters & Hens. There are some places still available and this course is suitable for all skill levels.
 

Due to changed circumstances we are now offering a two day worskshop on
Embroidered Books with mixed media textile artist Isobel Hall. The workshop will be held on 21 & 22 September 2009 at Fobbles and will give you the chance to try out different products and make three different types of books—a hard-backed book with embroidered spine, a book with ring binders and one with Japanese style binding. All three will have a different mixed media cover suitable for stitch. Isobel's new book will also be available on the course. Book soon to secure your place.
 

We have lots of new products in the shop with many more arriving on a regular basis. Here are some of them…..
 
Firstly, we have taken delivery of a brand new DMC thread stand, so we can now offer you the full range of stranded cottons, light effects,
variegated stranded cottons and satin thread. Added to this we are now also stocking many other DMC threads, including perles in size 5, 8 & 12, crochet cotton, coton a broder, metallic thread, tatting cotton and soft
cotton. We do not have all the colours available yet, but we are happy to special order them for you if there is something you need.
 
Other threads we are stocking include Oliver Twists, Caron threads, Weeks Dye Works and Crescent Colours, again our collection is growing and we can special order anything which you need. Gloriana threads are also available to special order.
 
Our collection of Linens & Evenweaves for embroidery is growing. We have many Zweigart fabrics in stock in different counts and colours. We also have a mouth-watering collection of hand dyed linens from R&R Reproductions, Weeks Dye Works and Northern Cross Linens. Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to find it for you.
 
Threads and linens will be uploaded to the website as time permits, if you require any please email or telephone us.
 
New charts are arriving regularly including Loose Feathers and the Monthly stockings from Blackbird Designs, new charts and kits from Shepherd's Bush, gorgeous designs from Little House Needleworks, and many more. Let us know if you are looking for something in particular and if we don't have it we will do our best to find it for you.
 

For patchworkers we have some fabulous fabrics now in stock with new ones arriving regularly. Come and see our new ranges from Moda, Red Rooster, Hoffman, and Michael Miller, to name a few. We have a great selection of Moda Jelly Rolls, Layer cakes and Charm packs, with new ones added every month. Don't miss out…...they are selling quickly, if you are looking for a particular range get in touch now to see if we have it.
