The "Golden Period" of Gustav Klimt's paintings are known the world over for their sumptuous gilded and multi-coloured ornamentation.
 
They show swirling abstracts overlaid with neat geometrics in an explosion of vibrancy: that sounds like beadwork to me!
 
We will start with a mosaic treasury of stitches (my design is for a collar, but it would be easy to adapt for other uses) and then add Swarovski stones and beads to create a luxuriously embellished and decorative necklace.

Come and enjoy four wonderful days of beading in relaxing surroundings with like-minded people.
 
Muncaster Castle is located in one of Europe's most dramatic and remote landscapes with over 70 acres of gardens, it is situated on the west coast with the dramatic backdrop of the glorious Lakeland fells.
 
This special event includes:

• Arrive on Sunday afternoon and enjoy homemade cakes/tea or coffee. 
• 5 nights bed (most of the rooms are en-suite) and full English breakfast in the Coachman's Quarters within the grounds of Muncaster Castle. 
• Buffet-style evening meal and introduction on Sunday. 
• Morning and afternoon tea/coffee/biscuits each day. 
• Full access to the gardens and the World Owl Centre for the duration of your stay. 
• A complete materials pack including a wonderful selection of beads to make your project. 
• Surprises and treats throughout the week –  
• Leave for home after breakfast on Friday morning. 

The total cost for this fantastic event is tbc per person.

Lunch and evening meals (apart from Sunday evening) are not included, this gives you more choice: lunches/teas can be ordered from the café at Muncaster, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the accommodation which is for the sole use of the residents and there are also a good selection of local hostelries to choose from in the evenings.
