Welcome To Fobbles

Here at Fobbles we specialise in quality needlecraft, textile and beading workshops and residential retreats.
 
We have recently moved into a converted barn which has a purpose-built workshop and all our modern facilities mean we are also disabled-friendly.
 
 Alongside our workshop we have a fully stocked retail area with a wide variety of embroidery, beading and patchwork supplies.

We are open every Monday, Thursday and Saturday throughout 2011 (please check for Bank Holiday openings before travelling) between 10am and 4pm when you are welcome to come and have a look around our workshop and find out about classes, events and new products.
 
Please note WinterOpening times will operate from 1 November 2011 to 31 March 2012, these are:
Monday & Thursday 10am - 3.30pm
Saturday 9.30am - 12.30pm
 
If you would like to visit us on a different day please telephone us on 019467 24764 to arrange a convenient time.
 
We are here most days but please ring and check before travelling in case we are away at an event.
 
We welcome groups by appointment to view our facilities and are able to give short talks along with a display of work should you wish.

Fobbles is situated on the fringes of the Western Lake District, between the coast and the magnificent lakeland fells, amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in the Country.
 
We are near to the coastal village of Ravenglass, home of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway & Muncaster Castle.
 
We are just a few miles from Wasdale which won Britain's Favourite View Award in 2007. If you are going to see the view drop in and have a look round and enjoy a cup of coffee with us!
 

We are happy to provide local B&B information should you wish to stay nearby whilst visiting us.

Accommodation on our Residential Retreats is at Muncaster Castle, combining 4 Star accommodation with the glorious, peaceful 70 acres of grounds and home to The World Owl Trust. Classes are either held at Muncaster or in the Fobbles Workshop.

Private workshops and retreats can be organised to suit your group, for however many days you would like either with or without a tutor. These tailor-made events require a minimum of 5 attendees. We will work closely with you to create a never-to-be-forgotten special event for you and your group.
